Camp REad-A-Lot 2019
Camp Read-A-Lot is a faith-based summer literacy program for kids entering Kindergarten through 3rd Grade.
Join us this summer on Wednesdays July 10, 17, 24, 9:30 am - 11:30 am, July 31 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm. Summer is coming, and so is Faith United Methodist Church’s Summer Camp Read-A-Lot for kids! Students entering kindergarten through third grade are invited to the church on Wednesdays for some fun activities designed to keep their reading skills sharp. They will read great stories and even get some books to take home and keep for their own. Dramatic play, games, art, and service projects will provide opportunities for the children to build their vocabularies and expand their comprehension. We’ll also work on sight words, fluency, letters, and sounds. The program is free and will be led by teachers and trained literacy volunteers. The program will be held on Wednesdays July 10, 17, 24 from 9:30 am – 11:30 pm. Parents who are interested in this experience for their children should contact Faith United Methodist Church at 330-499-6040 or email [email protected]. Please be sure to leave your name, address, and phone number so that we can contact you with more information. Parents will then receive a letter with more details about the program and a registration form. To enroll your child, complete, sign and return the form to the church as soon as possible. Space in the program is limited, so call soon. Looking forward to a summer filled with reading adventures, Faith’s Camp Read-A-Lot Coordinators: Bethany Sedziol and Amanda Mills Kathy Schmucker, Spiritual Formation Director Faith United Methodist Church 300 Ninth St. NW, North Canton, Ohio 44720 330-499-6040 |
